So as to carry out the spirit of teaching and research first and promoting education through research, at 9 A.M. on 31st August, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Junior High Section of the east campus convened the teaching and research work conference of the new semester, which consisted of two stages.
In the first stage, at the conference room on the first floor of the administrative building, the Junior High Division held a meeting for the teaching and research group leader as well as the lesson preparation team leader in each discipline, which was chaired by Deputy Director Wang Shengxiang. First of all, Vice Director Wang Shengxiang summarized and reviewed the teaching and research work of the last academic year, announced the assessment results of the teaching and research group of the last term and praised the teachers who won awards in the appraisal of education teaching essay, high quality class and excellent demonstration class on campus. Second of all, Vice Director Wang Shengxiang conducted detailed arrangement in regard to the teaching schedule of the new semester, the teaching and research work in both campuses, the establishment of on-campus open classes, the Blue Project and so on. In addition, he put forward specific suggestions on the stratified setting of students’ homework and explained the use of ‘Homework Layout Schedule’ planned for this semester. Finally, Principal Assistant Lu Dan made a guidance speech in which he required the teaching and research in the new semester to be pragmatic and of high quality, pointing out that the arrangement of teaching and research progress should be scientific, the teaching and research contents should be rich, the exam proposition quality should be of high standard, the arrangement of students’ homework should be stratified and the members of each discipline group should form a strong teaching and research atmosphere.
In the second stage, each discipline group held their respective group meetings at designated locations where the teaching and research team leaders conveyed the spirit of the division meeting and discussed relevant issues in combination with the actual conditions of each subject.
In conclusion, this conference let teachers make clear the focus of the teaching and research work in the new semester. We firmly believe that under the guidance of the Junior High Department and with the joint efforts of all the teachers, the flowers of teaching and research will have a gorgeous blossom.
